We use an Apple TV 4k for media so the fans being on while watching shows wasn't a concern. To mitigate this I put them on a smart outlet ("Ok Google, PS5 fans on/off") and I have them set to always shut off at 2AM if they are on. They move 22 CFM, but they are definitely audible at 32dB. These fans are really nice - they're very sturdily made and I like the guards for both sides. Here is a pic of the fans from inside the cabinet. PS5 intakes from the front and exhausts from the back, so I wanted the airflow of these fans to move to the front of the enclosure to be available for intake at the front of the console. To achieve cooling in this, I installed a couple of these project fans into the top of the enclosure as intakes (in 3" cutouts). This worked fantastically and console temperatures are not any noticeably higher than ambient. Well, my wife got sick of my PS5 standing like a techno-skyscraper atop our AV cabinet and said, "Honey, figure it out." So I had to come up with a cooling solution that would enable me to game with the PS5 on a shelf, in a cubby, behind glass. The subreddit consists of other community members just like yourself.
